Open distributed machine language translation

Open distributed machine language translation (engl. open distributed machine translation - ODMT) is a combination of concepts of offenener distributed systems and the machine speech processing. ODMT is understood both and translation service and and working environment for translators. The special quality consists of the fact that by the integration of different Mue systems and their components can be potentially worked on variety by text places.

In the ODMT know different new and existing MUe procedures (analysis, transfer, generation, Desambiguierung), data (encyclopedias, grammars, illustration rules, background knowledge) and tools (of MUe systems, terminology data bases, translation memory, Alignment) assistance of a MUe Vermittlungskomponente (Meta Trader), which on the Trader touches down, with attached knowledge representation (translator us system knowledge) to be integrated. But come both research and commercial systems and components into consideration. The latters can become if necessary totally enclosed.

The distribution considers to the distributed speaking and specialized authority, which can be adequately used. The openness of a ODMT leads to an evolutionary development (synergy). Procedures and linguistic data of existing MUe systems or components are re-usable. A ODMT can be used as test environment for other components for the processing of natural speech. The use of the design method RM-ODP (ISO standard) can contribute to the development of standards in the MUe. Beyond that ODMT offers further advantages such as expandabilities, reliability, robustness and concurrency.
